So – who is this Colin bloke and why should we be interested?
Hi – I’m Colin Cook and I own and operate the business. Here I’ll tell you a little about myself and how I feel I could fit into your Wedding Day!
Originally from London, I have lived in the North East for over 30 years and love it here – so much that I am now a North East Ambassador!
I was born back in the 60s and grew up with music all around me. Back then, with no mobile phones, no computers and only 4 TV Channels music was a very important part of life and has remained a passion of mine ever since. Even as a teenager I worked in a Hi-Fi store selling some of the best equipment available – another love of mine is fabulous sound quality!
I have a wide Business background, with experience in Management, Customer Services, Training, Retail and IT. I have 2 children and 3 gorgeous grandchildren.
Over 2 decades ago now, I took up DJing and soon realised that the industry had a generally poor image, DJs often had a huge ego and many do the job for their own satisfaction, not that of their clients. I joined an online Forum to see what the leading DJs were doing, joined and became active in several industry bodies and decided to use my prior business skills as the basis for my new venture. I networked with some of the best DJs, Master of Ceremonies and Wedding Presenters around the world, learning and sharing ideas.
It soon became apparent that venues and clients alike loved the level of service and commitment I brought to the industry, building a reputation as a high quality service provider. I then found that most of my work was in the high-end wedding sector and corporate sector. I decided to concentrate here and over the past few years have developed into one of the highest-regarded Wedding DJs/Presenters in the UK.
Having seen how ‘Groundhog Day#’ weddings can be I decided I wanted to be involved in helping to create unique weddings which truly reflect the personalities and tastes of my couple. My ‘Best Wedding Ever’ plan was launched and I moved to providing an all day service including Master of Ceremonies, Music and Entertainment throughout – concentrating on keeping guests involved and invested in having a great time to help the Couple have ‘the Best Wedding Ever!’
Focusing entirely on my clients, talking (and more importantly listening) to Couples, Venue Managers and other quality suppliers I have evolved my business into one which provides a select range of high quality Wedding Services, all totally relevant, affordable and designed to make your Wedding Day as unique, memorable and perfect as you want it to be. I focus on quality, not quantity and strictly limit the number of weddings I do per year so as to ensure that every client gets my utmost attention
I pride myself on providing what I sincerely believe is simply the best quality of service you will find anywhere, at any price.
Talking of prices, my fees are certainly in the upper section of prices in the North East but are fair and represent the level of service I provide. If you are looking for a cheap DJ or Wedding Supplier then it is unlikely I will fit the bill, but if you are looking for a fantastic, unique experience from a totally professional supplier then I would love to hear from you.

A professional, full time Wedding DJ and Master of Ceremonies, I am currently a member of several DJ Trade Associations including the Wedding DJ Alliance (WDJA), The Alliance of Mobile & Party DJs (ampDJ). All equipment is tested regularly for Electrical Safety (PAT Certificate), I carry Public Liability Insurance of £10m. I also have a Risk Assessment, Method Statement and Environmental Policy.
I was National Secretary of the National Association of Disc Jockeys for 2 years (2008-2010) and owned one of the UK’s longest running DJ Internet Forums.
